Living with a work
Care, with attention.
General guidance for future Irisande works. Final care and installation instructions will accompany each finished piece.
A place indoors
Choose a dry indoor space with stable conditions. Keep the work away from direct sun, hot windows, radiators, fireplaces and other sources of heat.
Avoid damp rooms, splashes and sudden changes in temperature. These concepts are not intended for outdoor display.
Cleaning the surface
Dust lightly with a clean, dry, soft brush. Support the work securely and avoid pressure on raised edges or fine details.
Do not use solvents, abrasive cleaners, polish or soaking water. Contact the studio before treating a mark or attempting a repair.
Hanging a wall work
Final weight and the construction of your wall will determine the appropriate fixings. Have a qualified installer assess the wall and follow the instructions supplied with the finished work.
Do not hang a work from its decorative surfaces. Proposed concealed mounts still require testing; the dimensions shown here are not installation templates.
Handling sculpture
Use a stable, level display surface, away from edges and busy passageways. Support the main body when moving a work; do not lift by a projection or moving element.
Decorative works are not toys, seating or vessels. Keep moving elements and separate parts beyond the reach of young children.
Light and light works
Gentle ambient light can reveal a surface without placing it near a hot light source. Avoid concentrated heat and prolonged direct sun.
Ionwake and Rainvault are in development. Their electrical, thermal and safety assessments must be completed before release. Installation and operating instructions will be specific to the finished work.
