The idea

Movement,
without moving.

Two perforated vermilion screens sit in front of a cobalt field. Broad red passages interrupt the fine circular openings.

As the viewpoint changes, the overlapping apertures are intended to reveal different portions of blue. This moire drift is an apparent movement within a still work, shaped by depth and room light.

Concept render. The apparent drift, contrast and mounting will be assessed through physical studies.

The object, considered

From an idea
to an object.

Designed in house.
Made in our studio.
Finished by hand.

Our intended process. No physical piece exists yet.

Materials and proposed dimensions

A plant derived polymer with satin vermilion surfaces and a cobalt backing, carried by a concealed metal frame.

Fine circular apertures and deliberate module reveals are part of the proposed surface.

Approx. 70.9 W × 35.4 H × 3.3 D in
Approx. 1800 W × 900 H × 85 D mm

Proposed dimensions, given as width, height and depth. Final dimensions and weight will be confirmed with the finished work.

Edition and certificate intent

We intend a continuing collection, with an individual serial number for each work. No fixed edition limit is proposed.

Our intended process includes a signature and serial mark on the object, matched to a signed certificate recording its title, date, materials, dimensions and edition status.

Final marking and certificate details will be confirmed before release.

Care and placement

Conceived for a substantial indoor wall. The frame, wall capacity, anchors and handling method require assessment before installation.

For indoor display, away from direct sun, heat and damp. Dust with a clean, soft brush. Avoid solvents, abrasives and polishing compounds.

Final care instructions will accompany the finished work.
