The idea

Architecture,
given time.

Three separate bridge forms occupy different heights around a slender mast. Their open courtyards and broad carmine faces create a changing arrangement of air and color.

A hand-wound descending weight is proposed to turn the forms slowly in different directions for a finite period. There is no internal light. The mechanism, balance and movement remain to be tested.

Concept render. The complete motion envelope, balance and winding mechanism will be assessed on a physical rig.

Materials and proposed dimensions

Satin carmine polymer shells over a concealed metal structure, with a dark bronze finish on the mast, mechanism housing and steel base.

Broad opaque faces and fine construction reveals are proposed. Air gaps separate each moving form.

Proposed dimensions, given as width, height and depth. Final dimensions and weight will be confirmed with the finished work.

Edition and certificate intent

We intend a continuing collection, with an individual serial number for each work. No fixed edition limit is proposed.

Our intended process includes a signature and serial mark on the object, matched to a signed certificate recording its title, date, materials, dimensions and edition status.

Final marking and certificate details will be confirmed before release.

Care and placement

For a level indoor floor with clearance beyond the full swept envelope. The proposed base is 650 × 650 mm. Stability, movement limits, guarding and handling require full-size assessment before installation.

For indoor display, away from direct sun, heat and damp. Dust with a clean, soft brush. Avoid solvents, abrasives and polishing compounds.

Final care instructions will accompany the finished work.
