The idea

A form completed
by still water.

Two unequal yellow portals meet in a folded architectural stitch. A dark aubergine tray holds a shallow pool beneath them.

Still water is intended to complete the open structure through reflection. A ripple should briefly loosen that second half, leaving the physical form unchanged. The effect remains to be tested.

Concept render. Reflection, viewing angles and water containment will be assessed on a physical study.

Materials and proposed dimensions

A coated polymer structure in acid yellow, an aubergine exterior and a separate continuous metal water liner.

Satin yellow faces sit above a quiet dark basin. The dry work is conceived as a complete sculpture in its own right.

Edition and certificate intent

We intend a continuing collection, with an individual serial number for each work. No fixed edition limit is proposed.

Our intended process includes a signature and serial mark on the object, matched to a signed certificate recording its title, date, materials, dimensions and edition status.

Final marking and certificate details will be confirmed before release.

Care and placement

For a stable, level indoor table protected from spills. The proposed shallow pool requires filling, emptying and cleaning by hand. Water containment, handling and care remain to be tested.

For indoor display, away from direct sun, heat and damp. Dust with a clean, soft brush. Avoid solvents, abrasives and polishing compounds.

Final care instructions will accompany the finished work.
